Capital Office Products is looking for a dynamic customer service associate that will work cooperatively with peers and other departments, keeping appropriate individuals informed to assure positive customer relations are maintained. This includes inside and outside sales team, purchasing dept, warehouse and delivery personnel. Must be able to effectively handle customer requests, receive and enter orders, identify and resolve problems in order to meet the needs of our customers in a courteous and professional manner. Need to be able to proactively provide a consistent, and reliable customer service experience and promote the retention of Capital Office Products customer base. Work is performed under the direction of the Customer Service Manager.

  • Good PC skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook Email
Responsibilities
  • Handle customer interactions effectively. Receive incoming sales calls and orders properly & courteously, evaluate inquiries, provide appropriate assistance, process orders accurately, and follow through to ensure customer needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • Identify and resolve customer complaints & problems. Follows-up with customer to assure appropriate action was taken and the issue is resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Files and records all sales order transactions maintaining accurate customer records through completion of appropriate documentation and input to system.
  • Seizes selling opportunities through knowledge of product line, understanding customer needs, and presenting recommendations of alternatives to customer.
  • Works cooperatively with peers and other departments, keeping appropriate individuals informed to assure positive customer relations are maintained.
Education & Experience:
  • Require High School education or GED
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Previous customer contact and/or sales experience desired
